In our last exciting episode, years of vengeance finally collided with a truth no one saw coming.

Armed with a revelation that changed everything, Jake warned Casey that Chase Monroe was no ordinary prisoner. As the Guardian, Chase is effectively immortal. Locking her inside the Eternity Vault wouldn't be imprisonment for years or decades. It would be imprisonment for eternity. But the warning came too late. The vault had already been sealed. What followed was a confrontation years in the making. Jake, horrified by what Casey had done, turned against the woman he had helped empower. The argument escalated into open conflict, ending with Jake issuing an order few would have believed possible: Csheri Bombay was instructed to place Casey Stern herself into custody. The alliance that rebuilt Stern Industries may have just shattered forever.

Meanwhile, deep beneath Springfield, Project Whisper entered a new phase. Siren and Dr. Miriam Spectre continued their conditioning of Officer Eve Morgan, layering obedience structures into her mind with extraordinary precision. But something unexpected happened. Eve didn't become less capable. She became more useful. Rather than simply following commands, Eve began collaborating. Planning. Problem-solving. Contributing ideas while remaining fully compliant. The foundational programming wasn't suppressing her reasoning. It was integrating with it. Siren immediately recognized the implications. This wasn't a puppet. This was something better.

And Eve had a plan.

When she returns to society, she'll claim she pursued the hacker off-grid in an attempt to recover the stolen records. The suspect escaped, but not before Tayla Lane's identity was restored. It's a believable story. A clean ending. One that removes law enforcement scrutiny and eliminates the appearance of a victim. Spectre and Siren couldn't have designed a better cover themselves.
