Meanwhile, Samantha Daily finds herself a prisoner of The Blacksmith in an underground bunker, subjected to a cruel regimen intended to teach her about pain. This personal vendetta reveals the depths of The Blacksmith's animosity and sets the stage for an intense psychological duel.

As the narrative unfolds, Csheri's growing impatience with the clones' progress sparks tension with Alisa/Vine. This internal conflict threatens the cohesion of their sinister partnership and hints at possible fractures within their ranks.

Adding to the turmoil, Queen Narrkka launches another devastating attack on University City, motivated by the return of Lightstreak, a heroine with powers mirroring her own. This act of aggression underscores Narrkka's determination to eliminate any threat to her dominion.
Amidst this chaos, a mysterious figure infiltrates Narrkka's ship, deploying a weapon designed to drain the energy from its engines. This bold maneuver introduces a new variable into the conflict, raising questions about her identity and intentions.
